The Project in Brief
Darnley is Zoffany’s AW2018 collection of archive inspired designs blended with country house influences. It includes three books comprising ten wallpapers, four velvets, five prints, five embroideries and six weaves.
I was commissioned to design a scenic to add a narrative element. As with Verdure, The Gondolier and Peacock Garden my brief was to bring to life the concepts and influences that run through the collection.
In Zoffany’s words Darnley takes us into: “the world of county house living to meet the home owners that resided in some of England’s most revered stately homes…hand drawn jewel coloured designs, embellished with beautiful textures showcase the lives of the most influential of residents.”
